Themes
Five looks for the whole app, each a different table to play at. A theme changes only how the table and the paper are painted: every tile keeps its place, size and contents. Pick one in Settings.
Below, the same board in each theme.
The Trifold
Paper on an oak table under one lamp, the rail a lacquered cover. The default. Light paper on a dark table, brass corner guards, a wax seal on anything running, and a baize dice tray. Lettering in IM Fell English and Crimson Pro.
The lamp
The Trifold is lit by a reading lamp at the top left, and it's the only theme with a Lamp slider in Settings. Turn it down for a dim room: the paper ages and the pool of light on the table shrinks.
Rulebook
A leather desk under a reading lamp, the rail a book's spine. Dark paper with printed double rules, an oxblood index tab for anything running, a pointing-hand turn marker, a leather dice tray, and a page number on each tile. Lettering in Cormorant Garamond and Alegreya Sans.
Gilded Hall
Black marble under a chandelier, slate tablets framed in gold. Gold-framed slate, a garnet for anything running, Roman numerals on the timer and a crimson velvet dice tray. Lettering in Cinzel and EB Garamond.
Cartographer
Green baize ruled with a graticule, the rail a cloth-bound atlas. Map-maker's neat lines, a map pin for anything running, a compass-rose timer and a compass needle for the turn marker.
Arcanum
A night sky under the moon, an obelisk for the rail. Constellations across the table, a glowing violet gem for anything running, an astrolabe timer, a scrying-bowl dice tray and rune strips on the tile titles. Lettering in Cinzel Decorative and Spectral.
Good to know
- The theme applies to every window at once: board windows, book windows, the players' window and phones following along.
- Each widget keeps its own kind of paper in every theme: the Initiative tracker is a ledger, Notes are a ruled journal, the Name Generator keeps names on cards, the Timer is an instrument dial and Dice roll in a tray. The theme decides how each is drawn.
- All the lettering is built into the app, so themes look the same with or without the internet.
- The board's grid can be shown at rest in any theme: see Grid at rest.
